Comparison of China's Stainless Steel Imports and Exports in 2024
In 2024, the total imports of stainless steel in China amounted to 1.8777 million tonnes, a decrease of 0.1932 million tonnes or 9.33% year-on-year. Among them, the total imports of stainless steel from Indonesia were 1.5642 million tonnes, representing a year-on-year decrease of 0.1305 million tonnes or 7.7%.
In the same year, China's total exports of stainless steel reached 5.0442 million tonnes, an increase of 0.9069 million tonnes or 21.92% compared to the previous year.
Furthermore, China's total net exports of stainless steel in 2024 stood at 3.1665 million tonnes, marking an increase of 1.1001 million tonnes or 53.24% year-on-year.
