Flame Cutting:

Then, the molten metal is blown away by a high-pressure oxygen stream to achieve cutting.
Characteristics: The equipment is simple and the cost is low. It is suitable for cutting thick steel sections. However, it has a large heat-affected zone, significant thermal deformation, and relatively low cutting accuracy.
Plasma Cutting:
Principle: It uses a high-temperature plasma arc (with temperatures reaching up to 10,000-30,000°C) to melt and blow away the steel, completing the cutting process. The plasma arc is generated by ionizing the gas through the application of a high-frequency electric field between the electrode and the workpiece.
Characteristics: It offers fast cutting speeds, narrow kerfs, and a small heat-affected zone. It can cut a wide range of thicknesses (generally around 0.5-100mm) and is suitable for cutting medium to thin steel plates, such as stainless steel plates and aluminum plates.
Laser Cutting:
Principle: It focuses a high-energy-density laser beam onto the surface of the steel, causing the steel to melt or vaporize instantaneously to achieve cutting.
Characteristics: It provides high cutting accuracy (up to ±0.1mm), smooth cuts without burrs, and can cut various complex shapes. However, the equipment cost is relatively high, and it is suitable for cutting thin plates (with thicknesses typically around 0.5-20mm).
Water Jet Cutting:
Principle: It uses a high-pressure water stream (sometimes mixed with abrasives) to cut the steel.
Characteristics: It is environmentally friendly, safe, and has a wide range of applications. It can cut steel plates of various thicknesses. However, the cutting speed is relatively slow, and the equipment cost is high.
