The inventory of ASTM A572 cutting steel plate decreased

In July, the overall inventory of ASTM A572 cutting steel plate of steel mills showed a decreasing trend. Due to the impact of flood disaster, steel demand for building repair has been produced in many places, and the demand for ASTM A572 cutting steel plate in factory sites has also been delayed. With the end of the rainy season, the inventory of ASTM A572 cutting steel plate is gradually transferred from steel mill to the society for market demand.

The social inventory of ASTM A572 cutting steel plate increased first and then decreased. In the first ten days of July, the inventory of five kinds of steel in 20 cities in China was 12.48 million tons, ending a 10 day decline. By the middle of the year, the social stock of five major steel varieties in 20 cities dropped to 12.13 million tons, a slight decrease of 0.6% compared with the previous ten days. Among them, the inventory of hot-rolled coil was 1.69 million tons, with a decrease of 30000 tons; the inventory of cold-rolled coil was 1.2 million tons, decreased by 40000 tons; the inventory of medium and heavy plate was 870000 tons, decreased by 20000 tons. ASTM A572 cutting steel plate is mainly medium and heavy plate. It should be noted that the social inventory decreased by 7.81 million tons or 38.6% compared with the peak value in the first ten days of March by the middle of July, and the de stocking effect of ASTM A572 cutting steel plate and so on steel materials was more obvious.
