S235JR Carbon Structural Steel Surface classification

Ordinary surface (FA)

Pickled surface. The surface is allowed to have slight or partial defects such as pits, pits, scratches, etc., whose depth (or height) does not exceed half of the thickness tolerance of the steel plate, but the allowable minimum thickness of the steel plate and the steel strip is guaranteed.

Higher surface (FB)

Pickled surface. The surface is allowed to have local imperfections that do not affect the formability, such as minor scratches, slight indentations, slight pitting, slight roll marks, and chromatic aberrations.

S235JR Material use

S235JR Carbon Structural Steel is mainly used in construction, bridges, ships, vehicle structural parts, manufacturing tools, cutting tools, molds and measuring tools.
